District4 Association Boundaries

Good morning,

We ask that you please share the message below with your memebers.

As we get ready for another exciting year of hockey within District 4, we want to remind our members that you must register for hockey with your home hockey association as per HEO Policy 6.49.   Boundaries are important for the growth of minor hockey in all communities.  Boundaries are periodiclly reviewed by HEO, and were last reviewed in 2019.  Hockey association boundaries do not follow school boundaries.

In District 4, our boundaries seem to follow the municipality boundaries. An example of a boundary that can be confusing is between Carleton Place and Almonte. Meaning if you are in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills / Ramsay Township, you are a member of Almonte Minor Hockey Association and not Carleton Place Minor Hockey Association.  Drummond, North Elmsley and Lanark are all within the Perth Lanark Minor Hockey Association boundary.

HEO has an address look up tool that will indicate what hockey association you should be registering for: HEO District4 Maps and Home Association Lookup Tool

Some members will be receiving messages explaining that they must register with their home associations.  We are working with all associations to ensure players are playing where they should be.

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
